Grand Slam Garage Sales Information

Garage SalesHow it works:

  • Advertise – We do all of the advertising to get people to come to the garage sale. We put an ad on our website, 3 other websites, send an email to our mass following of shoppers, put 3-4 signs out in the neighborhood and have a sign holder (GSGS worker holding a sign) on busy street near the sale.
  • Set Up – We set up the sale. You tell us what you want sold and we will take it out of your house, garage or attic to put out for the garage sale.
  • Manage – We manage the entire sale. That means we deal with everyone who comes to the sale. Our staff is trained in pricing and bargaining so that we can take in the most possible money at each sale.
  • Haul Off – We even take care of whatever doesn’t sell! We used to bring all unsold items to Goodwill; however we’ve recently started a new initiative to make our customers even happier. Unsold items after the sale go to Goodwill for a donation receipt, but if there are any items we think we can still sell, we will put them in storage and try to sell them for you still. Important Times and Contact Information:

Friday before your sale – 2 members of the GSGS team will arrive at your house sometime between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM to start the set up process.

Saturday – This is the day of the sale. The GSGS team members will arrive at 6:30 AM to finish setting up and getting things ready for the garage sale. The sale will run from 7 AM to 12 PM. Usually most sales are dead by 12 if not a bit earlier as garage sales take place early. However, if there are still people coming – we will keep it open for a bit longer. (Two workers work the sale and we also have a person sign holding. So there will be three GSGS staff members or “team members” at your sale.)

Money:

  • Our Charge – We have a special going on now so that it’s ONLY $195 + 25% of excess money made*! (It’s normally $275 + 30% no matter what.)
    *(30% if sale takes in over $800, 35% if sale takes in over $1,000.)
  • Average GSGS Sale – Over $800 (Note: Every sale completely varies.) We have sales that make less than $800 and sales that make more. “Over $800” is the average from all of our sales we’ve done, as we are very good at running garage sales!
  • Referral Money – For every job you refer to us, we will give you $30!! 2 jobs = $60, 5 jobs = $150, 10 jobs = $300 you get the point! You can either give us names with contact information for us to call or you can send out emails/call your friends and family to let them know.

Note: The charge above is the complete charge. For our charge, we do EVERYTHING that it takes for your garage sale from Start to Finish. So essentially, you sit back, do nothing and we’ll get rid of all the unwanted items in your house and make you some money! It’s a win win! The way it works for the items sold after the garage sale – there is no flat fee. If we think anything that didn’t sell at the sale may still be able to be sold, we will put it in storage and try to sell the item(s) to one of our buyers. You get 70% of the revenue from any items sold after the first garage sale; we take 30%...no other charges. If the item doesn’t sell within 2 months, we will bring it to Goodwill and send you another donation receipt.

Guarantee:

Garage SaleWe have a $50 guarantee in place. No matter what, you will get at least $50. That means that if we agree to do your sale and nothing sells, we would still give you $50. That is extremely rare and has not happened in a very long time. It’s just a safety blanket that no matter what our customer would get at least $50 and there sale completely run for them. We look forward to making you well more than $50; just had to give you that info!
